Lincoln Barber Shop

[tab title=”Overview”]Barber Shop — gathering place and sometimes focus of social activism. The Lincoln Barber Shop will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, occupying the same location since opening. Family-owned and operated, this staple of the Lincoln Avenue business corridor attracts customers from throughout the Pittsburgh area. Online reviews noted, “…on a more general note, the place is just cool.” “It’s really a great place for guys, and you’ll realize how good the haircuts are when you see how many people congregate in this small space… The prices are really cheap for what you get too! Getting a good haircut is really important. If you want to look your best, this place can help!”

To step through the door is to take a step back into a bygone era, complete with art deco decorative touches and vintage equipment. Framed photos of the “Rat Pack” and Frank Sinatra adorn the walls, cigars are for sale, and an antique cash register rests on the corner counter. On sun-filled days, a café table and chairs are placed on the sidewalk in front of the store; customers and neighbors stop by to enjoy coffee and conversation while awaiting their turn for a haircut.

Barber and owner Aaron, and barbers Angie and Rose enjoy a large clientele and are always happy to welcome new customers.

A celebration of their 50th Anniversary will take place in the summer, date to be determined in the not too distant future. Be certain to join in the festivities; it will be an event not to miss. In the meantime…

Stop in and say hello to Aaron, Angie, and Rose!
