This class has been temporarily postponed. Please check back for a revised date in fall 2017.

This presentation, lead by Benjamin Burkley, will teach the basics of financial planning and long term investing and will describe different investment vehicles such as mutual funds, stocks, bonds, ETFs, annuities, REITs, etc.

Benjamin Burkley is a Financial Advisor with Hefren-Tillotson. Benjamin specializes in working with individuals in all stages of life.  He works with people who are looking to accumulate assets and protect assets with insurance, and those who are in retirement and are looking to create income from their assets.  Benjamin believes that by building a quality plan and helping clients stick to that plan through tumultuous markets, he will help them achieve their stated goals. Benjamin has provided personalized advice to a variety of clients: retirees, young professionals, families and business owners.

Benjamin graduated from Grove City College in 2007 with a degree in Economics.  He currently resides in Bellevue with his wife Emily who is a 6th grade English teacher in the Seneca Valley school system.

Aside from working with his clients, Benjamin likes to spend his time volunteering with organizations that support things he is passionate about.  Benjamin has been working with Big Brothers Big Sisters in Pittsburgh for over 7 years, volunteering at Animal Friends and serving at his church.  Benjamin and his wife are huge dog lovers, and spend too much time with their English Lab, Abby.
