Listen to an interview with Samuele Bozzolla about the upcoming class.

Learn to enjoy the enduring beauty of opera. The instructor will explain the fundamentals of opera and will share a few easy steps to heighten your appreciation of a performance. The class is designed for those with little or no exposure to opera as well as longtime fans. An additional follow up class will be scheduled later to review a specific opera that is coming to Pittsburgh.

Instructor Samuele Bozzolla was born and raised in Bologna, Italy. He received his B.A. at Duquesne University and a Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University in International Business Practices and Economics. Mr. Bozzolla has been with Allegheny County since 1989 and has served in various roles most recently in the Department of Economic Development. He also teaches Italian at Allegheny County Community College and privately.

Mr. Bozzolla is the grandson of opera singer Ezio Pinza. He enjoys travelling, opera, cooking and playing percussion.
